Our accommodation was free due to connections, and it was at a CASTLE. Although we stayed in houses on the grounds, it was pretty cool. The castle is so legit. There's a secret garden, a church, a graveyard, a wardrobe to Narnia, ponds, and not to mention legitly decorated rooms within the castle.
We didn't get any dinner here so we all jumped onto the bus and went in search of some. We travelled to the closet town (2km) to find ONE open bar/restaurant, but they weren't willing to serve that many people. We then went 27km in the opposite direction, only to end up at McDonalds. Got a McWrap and a MAGNUM MCFLURRY. NOM NOM NOM. Got back to the castle at 11:30.
Yesterday we casually popped over to Szeczin, Poland after a rather dodgy breakfast (there was a random cooked salmon, and marmalade) the border was basically non existent, but Poland looked distinctly different to Germany. None of us had done any research at all on what there was to see here, and so Emily, Alex, Jono, Finn, and I just decided to walk in a random direction. We started off at this big mall, and then headed where there looked like there were churches. We saw two of them, and also the opera house. All very cool and different to what we've seen before! Got these big kebabs for 10 scholtt (sp?) which is about $5 or 2.5€. Best meal so far =P if you want cheap stuff, head to Poland :)
We gave a concert that night to the town folk. It started raining but they just whipped out umbrellas and stayed there <3.
